We Did It!

Freedom Drive 2002 Is Now History.

Next Appropriate Step:
Redress of Grievances Before Payment of Taxes!

460 committed Americans (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country) signed up to drive to Washington DC for Freedom Drive 2002, and from a look at the crowd, they were all there and so were dozens of others.

460 loyal Americans (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country) decided to put their lives on hold and make the personal sacrifices necessary to hold their government accountable to the Constitution of the United States of America.

460 concerned citizens (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country) stood together on the National Mall in Washington DC, to await the government’s response to four Petitions for Redress regarding the individual Income Tax, the Federal Reserve System, the Iraq Resolution and the USA PATRIOT Act.

460 educated Americans and thousands more who were watching a live web cast of the event (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), felt the sting of an arrogant decision by their servant government; all members of congress and the President failed to send any representative to the National Mall to respond to the People’s Petitions for Redress of Grievances. By failing to send representatives to meet with the People, they showed disrespect and disdain toward the People and the nation’s Rule Book, the Constitution of the United States of America; they failed in their duty to honor their constitutional oaths and obligations. Congress was on the hill, they were notified and yet they ignored the people in favor of a political amusement – the election of Nancy Pelosi as minority leader of the House of Representatives. To make matters worse C-SPAN and CNN (ABC, NBC, CBS only had regular programming) had nothing but saturation coverage on the election of Nancy Pelosi as the first female to achieve such power in Congress.

460 Americans and thousands more who were watching a live web cast of the event (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country) understood the gravity of this Moment of Truth in America’s history as they listened to the statement read by Bob Schulz in response to the government’s decision to ignore the People’s Petitions for Redress.

460 American Patriots (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), by their repeated cheers and loud exhortations during Bob’s statement (in full view of government cameras, spies and note takers), conveyed an extraordinary message to the government: "Redress of Grievance Before Payment of Taxes. No answers, no taxes!"

460 American Patriots and thousands more who were watching the event from home (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), heard Constitutional Law Professor (and ACLU President) Nadine Strossen convey important information about and sound alarm over the unconstitutionality of the USA PATRIOT ACT and the HOMELAND SECURITY Bill. They then heard her support our Petition for Redress regarding the USA PATRIOT ACT and her affirmation of the facts contained therein.

460 American Patriots and thousands more who were watching the event from home (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), heard Constitutional Law Professor Walker Todd convey important information about and sound the alarm over the unconstitutionality of the Iraq Resolution and the Federal Reserve System. They then heard him support our two Petitions for Redress regarding same and his affirmation of the facts contained therein.

460 American Patriots and a few thousand more who were watching the event from home (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), heard former IRS agents Joseph Banister, Sherry Jackson and John Turner convey important information about and sound the alarm over the unconstitutionality of the federal income tax system. They heard them support our Petition for Redress regarding the federal Income Tax.

460 American Patriots and a few thousand more who were watching the event from home (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), heard Patrick Henry (actor Chuck Halgens) repeat his famous "Give me Liberty, or give me death" speech, which, in March 1775 persuaded the elected representatives to Virginia’s House of Burgess to join the revolution rather than capitulate.

460 American Patriots and a few thousand more who were watching the event from home (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), heard James Madison (actor John Douglas Hall) speak to the issues of federalism and states rights, taxation, the right of Petition for Redress and more.

460 American Patriots and a few thousand more who were watching the event from home (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), heard the stirring, patriotic music of the band Poker Face and the patriotic songs written and sung by Dave VonKleist, the talented radio talk-show host (along with Joyce Riley) on the "Power Hour."

460 American Patriots and a few thousand more who were watching the event from home (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), will have had the courage of their convictions reinforced as they read the report by Lisa Guliani, a journalist, who will soon publish her eye-witness report on Freedom Drive 2002 in Babel Magazine.

460 American Patriots and a few thousand more who were watching the event from home (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), had their senses shocked as they have read the quotes by Mark Pitcavage, a representative of the Anti-Defamation League, who obviously did not attend the event on the National Mall and did not hear Bob’s speech, especially when Bob said, "We are not ‘anti-war.’ We are not ‘anti-tax.’ We are ‘pro-constitution’ and ‘anti-fraud.’ On Saturday, November 16, 2002, in an article written by Michael L. Betsch, a staff writer for CNSNews.com, and reprinted on NewsMax.com, Mr. Pitcavage was quoted as labeling the 460 Americans who attended the event as "extremists" and as "people who have incredible conspiracy theories about the government" and as people who are part of a group that has "disenfranchised itself from the rest of American society". Worst of all, Mr. Pitcavage and the Anti-Defamation League has asserted that we are "also a movement that has been linked strongly to violence, to attacks on IRS agents, to blowing up IRS offices, as well as many other crimes." Finally, Mr. Pitcavage and the ADL asserted that, "There's a great deal of criminal activity associated with the movement."

We don’t know anything more about Mr. Pitcavage and his motives, and we know very little about the Anti-Defamation League and its motives but we intend to find out as we call them to account for this mischievous, pernicious, injurious, hurtful, destructive, noxious, wrong, hate-filled, evil, wicked, immoral and un-American attack on the We The People Congress and those who were in attendance at the Freedom Drive 2002 event. More on this later.

In the meantime, click here to read an article that was written by Bill Hughes and published in the Baltimore Sentinel in September, 1993 entitled, "Is the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith Spying on You?" Apparently, the ADL subsequently lost the lawsuit at question in the article.

460 American Patriots and a few thousand more who were watching the event from home (out of approximately 170 million adults in our country), had their senses shocked as they read the very questionable news article by Michael Betsch, linking the We The People Congress organization, and the people who attended the Freedom Drive 2002 event, to a "Million Gun March" being planned by others for next July. Mr. Betsch’s comments appear, at best, to be irresponsible journalism. More on this later.
